Sue-Shane Tsomondo is an artist, arts administrator, and occasional writer based in Mohkinstsis (also known as Calgary). Born and raised in Zimbabwe, she is interested in the stories that make us who we are. Guided by the curiosity of an only child who spent too much time alone, Sue-Shane aims to bring the invisible and unspoken to the forefront. She graduated from the University of Calgary in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and a minor in English. Shortly after, she founded a literary arts platform, Sue's Stokvel, and collaborated with local businesses and organizations to highlight the work of racialized writers. Sue-Shane is a regular YouthWrite creative writing summer camp instructor and facilitates poetry-writing workshops for different groups while juggling her full-time job as the Executive Director of the Mountain Standard Time Performative Art Festival Society.
