Sheena Manabat is a Master’s student at the University of Calgary in Communications, Media and Film. Her interests include cultural identity, policy, new media and amateur cinema. Sheena is also a research assistant on the “Amateur Movie Database”, now in it’s third year of the project. Currently, her thesis research focuses on film history and culture in a local context, by examining home movies of East Asian immigrants in Calgary.
